2/17 - Market Analysis

SPX - broke support

SPY - needs a pullback

DJIA - testing lows

COMPQ - broke out of triangle and on support

RKH - testing lows

XLF - slightly below support

USO - bearish

UUP - bullish for dollar, bearish for everything else

VIX - breakout of triangle

A/D

ETFs - safety up, others down...further illustrates lack of buyers

Analysis: Some charts are showing that we might have tested the lows...while some have not and need to fall more before it hits its lows. as financials lead and RKH in particular is a great gauge for the future, i think that we will get a nice bounce tomorrow (despite no fundamental reasons i can think of)...i dunno if it will hold but i just doubt that DJIA and RKH support from its lows will go down without a fight. as most charts show that a true bottom might not yet be in play, i also feel that its safe to hold shorts here....and are espeically great to buy if we get a nice pullback intraday tomorrow...
