- Market Trend: Neutral
- Although we rallied at the start and the end, I don't believe things were as bullish as Dow's close suggests. If we can build something off of the late rally and move higher on Monday, I'll turn bullish. But for now, today felt more like the pause day that I had mentioned. Even though 250pt rise is solid, compare it to the two day 1000pt decline and you can see why it can be seen as a pause day. Volume was lighter than the past two days.
- Obama made his first appearance, basically as a president. It's nice to have a dependable professional behind the podium but I couldn't help but lose interest in the matter at hand. With president Bush, your attention stays with him because: 1) he's humorous like no other and 2) he makes you believe that you can do a better job than him. With president Obama, you leave it up to him and turn away. I'm going to miss president Bush, not as a president but as an entertainer.
